Les Percussions de Strasbourg, founded in 1962, are esteemed ambassadors of musical creation, known for their exceptional repertoire that includes both twentieth-century masterpieces and newly commissioned works. Under the artistic direction of Minh-Tâm Nguyen, the ensemble consists of members François Papirer, Enrico Pedicone, Flora Duverger, Galdric Subirana, Hsin-Hsuan Wu, Thibaut Weber, Rémi Schwartz, Alexandre Esperet, and Théo His-Mahier. The group is dedicated to bringing contemporary heritage to life while continuously innovating within a diverse artistic context. They maintain a strong connection with contemporary composers and showcase their versatility across various musical formats, ranging from duos to octets, and from acoustic to electronic performances, including recitals, musical theater, and dance. With over 350 works dedicated to them, Les Percussions de Strasbourg have developed a unique instrumentarium and have received numerous accolades, including around thirty international awards and a Victoire de la musique classique in 2017 for their recording of "Burning Bright" by Hugues Dufourt. The ensemble is also committed to educational activities, particularly engaging with the public in Hautepierre, where they are in residence.
