Lesley West is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as a founding member of the rock band Mountain. Born on October 22, 1945, in New York City, West gained prominence in the late 1960s and 1970s with his powerful guitar playing and distinctive voice. Mountain's hit song "Mississippi Queen" is one of his most recognized works. West has had a significant influence on rock music and has collaborated with various artists throughout his career. He is also known for his solo work and has released several albums. Lesley West passed away on December 23, 2020.
