Lester Sterling was a Jamaican alto saxophone and trumpet player, as well as a writer and arranger. Born on January 31, 1936, he began his music education in the 1940s at The Alpha Boys School. Sterling was the last founding member of a notable group until he retired in 2014. He passed away on May 16, 2023. He was also the half-brother of another individual, though the name is not provided.
