Lewis Lymon & the Teenchords was a doo-wop group formed in 1956 in Washington Heights, New York City. They are best known for their song "Your Last Chance." The original lineup included lead tenor Lewis Lymon (younger brother of Frankie Lymon), first tenor Ralph Vaughn, second tenor Rossilio Rocca, baritone Lyndon Harold, and bass David Little. The group's name was inspired by their youthful energy. Their debut single, "I'm So Happy," backed with "Lydia," was released in December 1956 on a label, but despite initial excitement, it did not achieve significant commercial success. The Teenchords continued to perform and record, but by early 1959, they had disbanded. Although they secured many big-time appearances, the lack of a national chart hit ultimately led to their demise. The Teenchords remain a notable part of doo-wop history, particularly due to Lewis Lymon's connection to Frankie Lymon.
