Lex (de Kalhex), whose real name is Alex Besikian, is a visual artist, producer, and MC. He is the co-founder of Akromégalie Records alongside his brother Parental and is one-third of the influential French hip-hop group Kalhex. Since 2011, Lex has produced critically acclaimed instrumental albums and is closely associated with Nujabes' entourage. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Grap Luva, Rob-O (from Pete Rock’s INI), Shing02, Uyama Hiroto, Dday One, Substantial, and Mathematik (Down Ta Erf). Represented in Japan by Takumi Koizumi, the former manager of Hydeout Productions, Lex has been performing regularly in Japan and Europe for over a decade.
