Lhasa De Sela was an American-born singer-songwriter, born on September 27, 1972, in Big Indian, New York. She was the daughter of a Mexican father and a US mother and spent her upbringing in both Mexico and the United States. Throughout her adult life, she divided her time between Canada and France. Lhasa De Sela passed away in Montreal on January 1, 2010.
