Lighter Shade Of Brown is a Hispanic/Latin-American rap group formed in Riverside, California. They released their first album in 1990 and were signed to a label based on the success of their second album, which came out in 1992. However, disappointing sales of their third album in 1994 led the band to go on a three-year hiatus. They made a comeback in 1997, releasing two albums and a greatest hits compilation.
