Lil Yachty is an American rapper, singer, and podcaster hailing from Mableton, Georgia. He first gained recognition in August 2015 with his singles "One Night" and "Minnesota" from his debut EP, Summer Songs. In February 2016, he appeared as a model in the Yeezy Season 3 fashion show. Yachty released his debut mixtape, Lil Boat, in March 2016 independently, which was later reissued on digital streaming platforms without infringing samples after securing a deal. He is the son of a photographer.
