Lili Boniche, born Élie Boniche in 1921, was a renowned singer of Andalusian-Arab music. He hailed from a Sephardic Jewish family in the Kasbah area of Algiers. Throughout his career, Boniche not only wrote music for commercial release but also composed for films. He passed away in Paris on March 6, 2008.
