Linda Kendrick was a British singer and actress born on April 27, 1951, in Dagenham. She passed away on December 5, 2010, in South London. Kendrick released her first single, "It's The Little Things" c/w "When Your Love Is Warm," on Polydor in 1966. She was cast as Jeanie in the West End production of "Hair" in 1968, which ran for 1,997 performances. Throughout her career, she undertook television work in Europe, appearing on German Television's "4-3-2-1 Hot and Sweet" in 1968 and as a guest singer on the UK's "Mike and Bernie's Scene" in 1970. She also toured the United States and, in 1975, released "House Of Cards," a song penned by Elton John. Kendrick faced personal tragedies when her husband died at the age of 25, and within a year, her son also passed away. She later remarried, moved to Cologne, Germany, and had another son. Eventually, she returned to the U.K. and lived in South London until her death from pneumonia in December 2010.
