Lindolpho Gaya was a Brazilian composer, producer, and keyboardist, known for his work as a pianist and organ player in the late 1950s. He was born on May 5, 1921, in Itararé, São Paulo, Brazil, and passed away on September 15, 1987, in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. Gaya collaborated with several prominent labels in Brazil, including RCA Victor, Philips, Elenco, and Odeon. From 1969 to 1976, he served as the Musical Director for the Odeon (later EMI-Odeon) company. He earned recognition for his arrangements of "O vento" and "O mar," performed by his wife, a leading Brazilian folk singer, for which he received a better release award in the mid-1950s.
