Little Annie, also known as Annie Anxiety and Annie Bandez, is a multifaceted artist celebrated for her work as an adventuress, chanteuse, lyricist, and multimedia artist. With a diverse and illustrious recording career, she was born in New York and initially had no intention of pursuing a career in the arts. Her journey led her through various jobs across the continent until she found herself on stage at the iconic Max’s Kansas City, fronting the experimental band Asexuals at the age of 16. After a chance encounter with Steve Ignorant from Crass, she traveled to the United Kingdom for what was meant to be a two-week visit but ended up staying for over a decade. Throughout her career, Little Annie has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Wolfgang Press, Crass, Paul Oakenfold, and Current 93, among others. She has consistently defied genre boundaries, exploring styles that range from jazz and reggae to hip-hop and avant-garde.
