**Bio of Little Harry** Real Name: Little Harry Date of Birth: December 16, 1965 Place of Birth: Saint Thomas, Jamaica Little Harry was raised in the parish of Saint Thomas and attended several schools, including Bell Rock Prep School, Hamtam Court Primary School, Port Morant All Age School, and Saint Thomas Technical High School. His music career began at the age of 12-13 while he was a D.J. on a sound system called Black Lion in Port Morant, where he was encouraged by the owner, Gogoil. His breakthrough came when he performed at a pushcart derby in Port Morant Square, stepping up to the microphone of the Aquarius sound system, where he received an enthusiastic response from the audience. Following another successful performance at a beach party with Aces Disco, he was offered a contract to D.J. for their sound system. In 1981, Little Harry entered the J.C.D.J. National D.J. competition at Skateland in Kingston, where he reportedly impressed the crowd, although the victory was awarded to Yellowman, who became a good friend thereafter. Together with Yellowman, Fathead, and Jah Ruball, they performed across Jamaica and released a live dancehall album titled “Fever in the Dance Hall,” featuring the track “Little Harry Having a Party,” marking Harry's first recorded appearance.
