Little Johnny Taylor was an American blues and soul singer born on February 11, 1943, in Gregory, Arkansas. He recorded music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, notably for the Galaxy and Ronn labels. His biggest commercial success came in 1963 when he reached #1 on the USA Billboard R&B chart. Although he recorded only sporadically during the 1980s and 1990s, he remained an active performer until his death on May 17, 2002, in Conway, Arkansas.
