Little Kirk, also known as Kirk Davis, is a unique and soulful crooner whose style blends elements of R&B and Reggae, making him a standout artist in both genres. Born and raised in Waterhouse, Jamaica, he first gained recognition after winning a local talent contest in 1981, which led to his signing with Patrick Roberts' Shocking Vibes label. Over his career, Little Kirk has released eight albums, including 'Youth and Youth' (1985), 'Ghetto People Broke' (1986), 'Can It Be Me' (1990), 'Too Hot To Handle' (1991), 'Ease The Pain' (1992), 'I’m Ready' (1997), 'One More Chance' (2007), and 'Don’t Deny Me' (2008). He is known for his remarkable vocal talent, which has been highlighted in his cover of Michael Jackson's 'Man In The Mirror.' Throughout his career, he has collaborated with several prominent Reggae artists, including Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Sean Paul, and many others, and has performed internationally in various countries. His album 'Don't Deny Me,' released in May 2008, received nominations for Best Gospel Reggae Album of the Year at the Canadian Reggae Music Awards and the Reggae Music Achievement Awards. Additionally, his single 'Solution,' featuring St. Matthew, was nominated for Single of the Year at the 2008 Mega Gospel Awards.
