Little River Band is an Australian rock band that originated in Melbourne in 1975. They took their name from a road sign for the Victorian township of Little River, located on the way to Geelong. The founding members included Glenn Shorrock, Graham Goble, Beeb Birtles, and Derek Pellicci, all of whom had previously played in other bands. Little River Band was the first Australian rock group to achieve sustained commercial success in the United States, selling over 25 million records and earning 13 American Top 40 hits throughout their career. As of now, there are no original founding members left in the group. The band's lineup has changed numerous times over the years. Notable past members include Glenn Shorrock, Graham Goble, Beeb Birtles, Derek Pellicci, and John Farnham, among others. The current lineup features Wayne Nelson on vocals and bass, Rich Herring on lead guitar, Greg Hind on guitar and vocals, Chris Marion on keyboards and vocals, and Mel Watts on drums and vocals.
