Little Roy is a Jamaican reggae artist born on February 25, 1953, in Withfield Town, near Trenchtown, Kingston, Jamaica. He auditioned at Studio One at the age of 14, which led to the recording of his first song, the rocksteady track "I Am Going To Cool It," written by his brother. This experience sparked his interest in Rastafarianism, and he became a member of the organization "Charter 15," created by the "Ethiopian Federation," later joining the "Twelve Tribes of Israel." Throughout his career, he has been known for his strong engagement with these beliefs. In 1969, he found success with a producer who helped him create several tracks. He established his own label in 1972 and later another label. After immigrating to the USA, he eventually settled in the UK, where he continues to perform on stage today.
