Little Tommy, whose real name is Tyrone Thomas, is a singer from Richmond, Virginia, known for his work with the Sound of Soul label under the guidance of Mr. Alexander Randolph. He recorded several notable songs, including "I'm Still Hurt," "Baby Can't You See," "I'm Hurt," and "Lov'H." "Baby Can't You See" has become one of the most sought-after records in Northern Soul circles, with used copies often selling for over a thousand dollars due to its enduring demand. After his time with Sound of Soul, Little Tommy collaborated with legendary producer Swamp Dogg on the album "Wolfmoon." He also worked with The Whole Darn Family, whose track "Seven Minutes of Funk" has been sampled by prominent artists such as Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, and Jay-Z. The backing tracks for his songs were provided by The Upsetters, who initially served as Little Richard's backing band before becoming well-known on the Chittlin' Circuit and were among the early groups that Jimi Hendrix worked with.
