Little Willie Littlefield was a blues singer and pianist born on September 16, 1931, in El Campo, Texas, USA. He gained popularity in California during the early 1950s and is best known for recording the original version of Leiber & Stoller's song "Kansas City," which he titled "K.C. Loving," in 1952. Littlefield was influential in popularizing the 'triplet' piano style in R&B through his recordings with Modern. He passed away on June 23, 2013, in Leusden, The Netherlands.
