Llans Thelwell & His Celestials was a Jamaican band known for their vibrant performances and rich musical talent. The band featured members including Jack Hurst and Neville Headley on guitars, Dennis Robinson on drums, and Joe Bennett and Tony Wong on trumpets. Barry Hayles played the trombone, while Stanley Notice contributed with the tenor sax. Francis Dennis played the tumba, and Junior Chambers alongside Barry Malcolm handled percussion and vocals. Busty Brown and Norman Grant shared lead vocal duties, with Llans Thelwell himself playing bass guitar and serving as the musical director. Joe Bennett was responsible for arrangements. The band gained notable exposure when they appeared on a live episode of JBC/TV's "Jamaica Bandstand" in 1965/6.
