Ian Hartley, known by his stage name Lobe, has been exploring sound, texture, and melody since his early days at the Pelican club in Aberdeen in 1988. A graduate of Edinburgh's Blue Room scene, he has balanced his musical career with his work as a psychiatric nurse, a role that reflects his modest nature and shapes his humble response to the acclaim he has received. Lobe was officially founded in 1995.
