Lole Y Manuel was a Spanish flamenco duo composed of husband and wife, Lole and Manuel. Manuel, born in Ceuta in 1948, was the son of flamenco guitarist Manuel Acosta Molina "El Encajero." He joined progressive flamenco musicians in 1967. A few years later, he and his wife, born in Seville in 1954 into a renowned flamenco-playing family, started a flamenco-rock band project with their friend "Tele" Palacios, but they eventually abandoned the idea when Tele joined Jesús de la Rosa and formed another group. As a duo, Lole Y Manuel released their first album in 1975. They are the parents of female singer Alba Molina.
