London Beats was a British twist beat band that existed from 1963 to 1967. They were notable for being the first Western rock band to tour behind the Iron Curtain, during which they released an LP and three Polish-only EPs. The band members included John Carroll, Jimmy Smith, Peter Carney, and Mick Tucker. A photograph of the group taken in Poland in 1965 captures them during their significant tour.
