Lone Ark is a solo musical project by Roberto Sánchez, a producer, engineer, singer, and musician from Cantabria, Spain. He operates through three main avenues: A-Lone Ark Muzik studio, A-Lone Productions label, and a live band known as Lone Ark. Roberto began his recording journey in 1997 with friends under the name Better Collie, using a four-track recorder. By 1999, he had upgraded to a 16-track recorder in London and produced music as "Loud and Lone," releasing two showcase albums and a compilation CD between 1998 and 2001. In 2002, he established his own studio and released his first work as Lone Ark titled "Countryside," focusing on analog recording techniques reminiscent of the late 70s. His studio has since produced numerous works for various Spanish bands and artists while maintaining the essence of 70s roots sound. A-Lone Productions was founded in 1997 to release "The Same Wrong Thing," the second album by Roberto's initial group, Lone Watti. The label gained momentum in 2004, becoming the primary outlet for all of Lone Ark's recordings and those produced at A-Lone Ark Muzik studio, dedicated to preserving the style and sound of 70s roots reggae.
