Lonesome Drifter, born on December 6, 1931, in Bastrop, Louisiana, is an American rockabilly and country musician. Although he was not a professional musician, he worked in the steel business as an erector and welder, which took him to cities like Chicago and Kansas City. Now residing quietly in Monroe, he owns a small recording studio where he records artists in the gospel music field. At the age of 88, he still sings and performs for his family during holidays, a feat many of his peers cannot match. He is known for his distinct guitar playing and is recognized as one of the creators of one of the most expensive rockabilly records ever sold. His single, which sold for $5,000 in good condition, is only surpassed by another record that went for $6,000.
