Lonnie Mack, born Lonnie McIntosh on July 18, 1941, in Dearborn County, Indiana, was an American singer-guitarist known for his contributions to rock, blues, and country music. He began his career in 1963 with the hit record "Memphis." Recognized as one of the early virtuoso guitar players, he inspired numerous artists throughout his career. Lonnie Mack was particularly known for his distinctive playing style and his use of the Gibson Flying V guitar. He passed away on April 21, 2016, in Nashville, Tennessee.
