Dr. Lonnie Smith was an American jazz keyboardist, renowned for his expertise on the Hammond B3 organ. Born on July 3, 1942, in Lackawanna, New York, he passed away on September 28, 2021, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Smith toured extensively throughout his career and collaborated with many of the world's jazz and R&B greats.
