Lord Cobra, born on October 17, 1926, in Patois Town, Bocas del Toro, Panama, was a prominent calypsonian recognized throughout the Caribbean. He was known for his talents as a troubadour and composer. Among his notable works are "Banana," "The Man with the Big Suitcase," and the famous "Baptism." Lord Cobra passed away on April 28, 2000, in Cativá, Colón.
