Los Angeles Negros is a legendary Chilean band known for their ballad, bolero, rock, and pop music. Founded in 1968 in San Carlos, South Chile, the band has seen numerous members throughout its history. Key early members included Cristián Blasser on drums, Federico Blasser on guitar, and Sergio Rojas on bass, all of whom were part of the band from its inception until 1969. Mario Gutiérrez joined on guitar in 1968 and remained until 2021, while Germaín de la Fuente served as the lead vocalist from 1967 to 1974. Other notable members include Jorge González on keyboards, who played from 1969 to 1983 and again from 1989 to 1993, and "Nano" Concha, who contributed on bass during two periods, from 1969 to 1977 and 1978 to 1992. The band has had a variety of lead vocalists over the years, including Ismael Montes, Oscar Antonio Seín, Mickey Alarcón, Guillermo Lynch, Enrique Castillo, Eddy Martínez, Gastón Galdames, and Antonio Saavedra, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles and influences. Los Angeles Negros has made a significant impact on the Chilean music scene and continues to be recognized for their contributions to various genres.
