LOS ECOS is one of the most popular and influential cumbia bands from Peru, known for playing the typical Peruvian cumbia, also referred to as "Chicha." In addition to cumbia, they explore various Latin genres including Salsa, Merengue, and Guaracha. The band was formed in 1971 and remained active until the mid-1990s.
