Los Jairas is a renowned Bolivian music group dedicated to showcasing the diverse and rich folkloric music of the Andes, particularly that of Bolivia. With their combined and individual musical talents, they quickly gained recognition and built a strong reputation that extended beyond Bolivia's borders. Often regarded by experts as the premier folk group of their kind in South America, Los Jairas successfully toured Europe and other continents. The group evolved from an earlier folk ensemble, and the name "Jaira" is derived from the Aymara word meaning "lazy."
