Los Loud Jets is a Mexican Rock 'N Roll band that was formed in Mexico City in 1959. They are recognized as pioneers of the first wave of Rock sung in Spanish, during a time when translating current rock 'n roll songs into Spanish was common. The band gained popularity after participating in a contest hosted by a local radio station and began recording in 1960. The original line-up consisted of Eduardo Munguia Castello (guitar and vocals), Alejandro Munguia Castello (guitar and vocals), Francisco Gastellum Flores (bass), Alfredo García Pérez (saxophone), and Sergio Balderas Crespo (drums). Guitarist Victor Constantino was also part of the band but left to join Los Playboys as a vocalist and guitar player. On March 31, 1962, Los Loud Jets embarked on a lengthy tour across Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean and several cities in the USA. They appeared on popular shows alongside renowned artists such as Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson, Pat Boone, Sammy Davis Jr., Maurice Chevalier, Johnny Mathis, Dean Martin, and Tom Jones. During this period, they recorded for various labels and sometimes performed under alternate names like The Jumping Beans and The Mexican Jets. The band made their definitive return to Mexico in 1979 and remains active to this day.
