Los Mencos was a Peruvian beat group formed in Valle Chicama in 1974 by Alberto Méndez Cotrina and his brothers. The band consisted of Alberto on vocals and lead guitar, Luciano on bass, James on keyboards, José (Cheo) on drums, Héctor Ponce on saxophone, and vocals by Joel Roncal and Roberto Roberto. They were active until 1985.
