Los Que Vivimos was a Spanish group formed in Vallecas, a working-class district in Madrid known for its anti-Franco resistance during the dictatorship. The band released two singles on Belter records in 1971: "Contrapunto / El Camino Del Amor" and "Muchacho / La Hija Del Anticuario." The members included Mercedes "Merche" (vocals), Mariano Díaz (keyboards, arranger), Laureano "Nano" (guitar), Rafael "Rafa" (bass), and José Antonio Galicia “El Gali” (drums). According to Laureano "Nano," the group recorded a potential third single for Belter, featuring Greek lyrics based on Homer’s Odyssey, but it was never released. After two years together, the band disbanded, with two members achieving notable success in other projects. José Antonio Galicia, also known as “El Gali,” became a respected musician in flamenco, particularly in flamenco-jazz and flamenco-rock fusion, and played on the legendary album ‘La Leyenda Del Tiempo’ by Camerón before his death in 2003. Mariano Díaz, the keyboard player, collaborated with Victor Manuel & Ana Belén and played with Miguel Ríos, contributing to the hugely successful live album ‘Rock & Ríos’ (1982), where he co-wrote the song ‘El Sueño Espacial.’
