**Los Tres Gigantes** was a Chilean beat band formed in Arica in the mid-1960s. The group consisted of Claudio Baltierra, Wilson Morales, Juan Hernández, and Carlos Zúñiga. They were part of the Latin American beat movement, influenced by British bands like The Beatles and The Kinks, and adapted their sound to Spanish for the music scene in northern Chile. In 1967, they released their only LP titled *Abran en nombre del go-go* under the Arena label. The album features Spanish versions of international hits as well as some original compositions. Notable songs included “Es la lluvia que cae” (a version of “Rhythm of the Rain” by The Cascades), “Una lágrima” (originally by I Camaleonti), and “Lloré” (a version of the Italian song “Ho pianto per te”). The album is characterized by its raw sound, with simple arrangements of guitar, bass, and drums, reflecting the provincial Chilean beat style. The band also recorded some promotional singles for local radio stations, though they did not achieve significant national circulation. Their activity mainly revolved around live performances in the northern part of the country, where they shared stages with other regional bands and those from the Nueva Ola movement.
