**Bio: Los Xochimilcas** Los Xochimilcas, also known as "The Hot Boys" or "The Xochimilcas Boys," were an impromptu comedy band that emerged in the 1940s, known for their unique burlesque shows that stood apart from contemporary bolero bands. Their outstanding versatility stemmed from their combination of four instruments: the accordion, trumpet, drums, and bass, which allowed them to create vibrant sounds across various genres, including cumbia, cha-cha-cha, merengue, danzones, rancheras, rock and roll, jazz, boogie-boogie, blues, and swing. Despite their vagabond appearance, the band members were highly skilled musicians, with Martin Armenta, the band's vocalist and trumpet player, having been a member of the Mexican marine band in his youth. During their performances, audiences had the option to dance or enjoy the humorous lyrics of their songs. This unique blend of music and comedy earned them roles in several films. Some of their notable songs include "Que se mueran los feos," "La banda borracha," "Saca la botella," "Domitila," and the amusing rendition of the Beatles' "She loves you," titled "Chilorius."
