Los York's was a prominent rock & roll band from the Rímac district of Lima, Peru, active during the 1960s and '70s. Fronted by powerful vocalist Pablo Luna, the band also included Walter Paz on lead guitar, Roman Palacios on rhythm guitar, Jesus Vilchez on bass, and Pacho Aguilar on drums. They began their journey in 1966, drawing inspiration from the British Invasion and American garage rock, but as they evolved, they incorporated more experimental sounds, with Paz introducing noise and feedback into his guitar solos. Their debut album, "Los York's 67," showcased their straightforward style, while their second album, "Los York's 68," ventured into psychedelia and featured a unique cover of Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love." After Paz's departure, Palacios took over lead guitar duties for their final album, "Los York's 69." The band continued to perform and release singles until disbanding in 1974. Over the years, their reputation grew, leading to reissues of their albums in Peru and Europe.
