The Lost Patrol is a Swedish rock band that originated as a side project of Dennis Lyxzén. Initially, Lyxzén released a solo album titled "Songs in the Key of Resistance" in 1999 under the pseudonym The Lost Patrol, characterized by political messages and a singer/songwriter sound. The follow-up album, "Songs About Running Away," was released in 2003 and shifted focus to themes of unrequited love, reflecting Lyxzén's personal relationship struggles at the time. As the project evolved, it transformed into a fully-staffed band before the release of their third self-titled album, prompting the name change to The Lost Patrol Band. In 2006, they released their fourth album, "Automatic." In 2008, the band changed their name again due to threats of lawsuits from an American band with the same name.
