The quintet became prominent figures in New York’s underground music scene after relocating there in 1966. The band consisted of John Emelin on vocals, Paul Conly on keyboards, Rusty Ford on bass, Tom Flye on drums, and Kim King on guitar, who joined later and was not part of the original line-up.
