Lou Ragland was a talented singer, guitarist, songwriter, record producer, and studio engineer born on July 18, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1965, he briefly served as the lead singer for Billy Ward & the Dominoes. He made his recording debut in 1967 with the release of "I Travel Alone" on Amy Records. Two years later, in 1969, he released a single under the name Volcanic Eruption and became Vice President of SARU Records, where he produced several records. In 1979, Ragland founded the Great Lakes record label and relocated to Las Vegas in 1980. He released a modern soul single in 1982 titled "Didn't I Tell You / This Is The Night For Loving." In 1986, he joined George Holmes' Ink Spots as a guitarist and baritone background singer, touring with the group for some time. In 1988, he established the Las Vegas Music Association, contributing significantly to the music industry. Lou Ragland passed away on August 19, 2020.
