Louie Vega is an American house music DJ, producer, remixer, and artist, born on June 12, 1965, in The Bronx, New York City, USA. He is based in West New York, New Jersey, and is best known for his productions with various artists, along with his role in the music scene with notable collaborators. Vega began his professional DJ career in 1985 at a club called The Devil's Nest and has held residencies at several iconic venues, including Hearthrob, Roseland, The Palladium, Studio 54, and The Sound Factory Bar. He continues to play on the international DJ circuit. In the early 1990s, he co-founded a platform for house music productions with Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez. Vega is also the founder and owner of a division established in 2003, which releases both his solo work and projects from a variety of house and Latin-influenced artists. He is the son of an unnamed individual and the father of an unnamed child. He is the nephew of his mother's younger brother and is married to an individual known as "aka," while being a former husband of another unnamed person.
