Louis Prima and Keely Smith were an American husband and wife act prominent in the 1950s. Prima was already a renowned bandleader and singer when 19-year-old Smith joined his band in 1949. The couple married in 1953 and developed a vocal duo act, with Prima embodying the "Wild" and party-loving persona, while Smith took on the role of the "straight" counterpart. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1961.
