Louiselle was an Italian singer born on November 8, 1946, in Vallelonga, Vibo Valentia. She spent her childhood in Isola d'Elba before moving to Rome, where she was discovered by a lyricist who later became her husband. In 1964, she signed with a label for her early records. Louiselle made her debut at the Sanremo Festival in 1965 with the song "Ascoltami," although RCA withdrew its artists from the competition that year. Her popularity soared a few months later with the hit "Andiamo a Mietere il Grano," along with other songs inspired by popular tradition and rural themes, including "Il Pontile," "Il Cacciatore," "La Scogliera," and "La Vigna" from 1966 to 1969. Throughout her career, Louiselle released five albums and approximately 30 singles until the late 1980s. She passed away in Rome on April 27, 2024.
