Luis Carlos Meyer, known as "El Rey Del Porro" and "El Negro," was a Colombian singer born on September 21, 1916, in Barranquilla. He was renowned for his contributions to the genres of cumbia, porro, and tropical music. Meyer passed away on November 7, 1998, at the age of 82. His primary instrument was his voice.
