Luke McDaniel, born on February 3, 1927, in Laurel, Mississippi, was an American country and rockabilly music singer and songwriter. He also recorded under the stage name Jeff Daniels and The Field Hand. McDaniel passed away on June 27, 1992, in Mobile, Alabama. He was the grandfather of Mississippi state senator Chris McDaniel.
