Lynn Williams was an American blues rock singer/songwriter, guitarist, and pianist, born on October 30, 1948, in Grand Prairie, Texas. He passed away from kidney and liver failure on November 25, 2005, in St. Martin, The Caribbean. Williams was known for writing songs such as "Running on Faith," "Real Man," and "Standing on the Edge of Love." He began his musical journey in a local church, learning to play the piano and guitar. Early in his career, Williams toured with Little Richard's band until he was discovered to be under-aged and sent home. He honed his guitar skills with the help of fellow band member Jimmy James. In 1996, Williams released his solo album "The Peacemaker."
