M'Bamina, also known as "lightning," was formed on July 1, 1972, by eight boys who discovered tools and equipment to play music in Italy. They made their first significant performance at Le Rotonde di Garlasco, near Pavia, in 1973. After a two-year wait, they released their debut album, "African Roll," produced by a French impresario and an Italian club owner. In 1976, M'Bamina embarked on a European tour and performed a notable show in Cameroon at the Stade de Yaoundé. The following year, they opened for a concert at Au Pavillon de Paris. Their music is characterized by a blend of R&B, Afro-Cuban influences, and traditional sounds, combining instrumental music, dance, and song.
