Maarten Van Der Vleuten is a Dutch producer, composer, and recording artist born in Vught, The Netherlands, in 1967. From 1987 to 2007, he used over two dozen aliases to produce Detroit techno, electro, house, experimental, and ambient tracks and remixes. In early 2008, he decided to release music solely under his real name or his initials, MVDV. Throughout the 1990s, he primarily recorded dance and techno music for several labels, including R&S Records, Outrage Recordings, Apollo Records (Belgium), Djax-Up-Beats, See Saw, ESP, and Klang Elektronik. Since 1996, he has also been releasing music through his own label, Signum Recordings, which he founded. Additionally, he established the sublabels Passiflora Records and Glam Records, both of which are now defunct.
