Mac Thornhill, born in 1961 on the island of Barbados, moved to Canada with his family in 1962. Renowned for his vocal abilities, he achieved two top ten hits, including "Who's Gonna Ease the Pressure," released on 10 Records, a division of Virgin Records in the U.K. He co-wrote "Hypnotized" by Taste-T-Lips, which reached No. 9 on the Billboard chart under Mercury/PolyGram USA. Additionally, he co-wrote the hit single "Get Away," which was nominated for a Canadian Juno award and quickly entered the top 40 pop chart in Germany upon its release. Since 1986, Mac has been advancing in various aspects of music production and live performance. As a music producer, Mac Thornhill has a strong background in contemporary Gospel music, nurturing artists like the Thornhill Family and the Emani Gospel Singers. He has also ventured into R&B and Dance music, producing notable hits such as "Who's Gonna Ease the Pressure," a top ten dance hit in the U.K., and "Get Away" by Shauna Davis, which reached the Top 40 in Germany and the Top 10 in Canada. Mac Thornhill is a respected music producer, songwriter, and singer, having collaborated with some of Canada's finest artists and earning two Juno nominations for best dance record.
