Mach-Hommy is a New Jersey-based rapper and producer known for his tireless work ethic and the high quality of his music, which has made him a cult figure. His dense and tightly wound lyrics are rich with deadpan one-liners and are deeply connected to the social and political history of his Haitian heritage. He often raps in Kreyol and is frequently seen with a Haitian flag folded into a bandana that obscures his face. Highly protective of his art, Mach-Hommy forbids lyric sites from posting transcriptions of his songs and charges hundreds to thousands of dollars for his releases, most of which are not available on streaming services.
